Rules & Regulations

SECTION 1: Waiver of Liability

​

Indian Creek Racing Productions, LLC, will assume no responsibility or liability for injury, or death to a person or animal or damage to property of any owner, contestant or assistant. Each participant, by the act of paying their entry fees, waive all claims against ICRP, and any arena for which shows are operated from, owners, workers, and/or any one person or entity associated with ICRP events for injury/damage/death he/she or their property sustain. No person associated with the production of the show may be help liable for any of the above occurances.

SECTION 2: Participants Responsibility

​

Participants are responsible for being up to date on the rules, which will be posted on the event pages, the Indian Creek Racing Productions FB page, and the Indian Creek Racing Productions website, particularly relating to events in which they compete. Failure to understand will not be accepted as an excuse. 

 

SECTION 3: Horse Ridden By Multiple Riders & One Horse Per Run Rule

​

The same horse may be shown in the same class if ridden by different riders, at the discretion of the producer. Per BBR rules, a horse may run in the same class twice IF ridden by a different rider.

​

Only (1) horse may enter the arena during a competitive run. An additional horse may assist another rider in the alley; however, If multiple horses enter the arena and crosses the timer, it will be an automatic disqualification and recorded as a no time.

 

SECTION 4: Posting of Results

Results to any event will be posted publicly in a timely manner after each event on www.sgpevents.net.

**Payout for the Adult 4D, Youth 4D, Senior 4D, and Open 5D Barrels and Open 2D Poles Class money will be divided into each of the divisions.  If a division is paying 4 places and there are 2 winners in that division the extra money will be divided between the two winners in that division.  If there are no qualifiers in a division, that division’s money will be kept by ICRP and used for future events added money.

**Pee Wee entries are 100% payback.

​

**All other classes payback 80%

​

**Added Money will be paid back 100%

​

**Specialty class may vary, but will be clearly advertised.

​

**Decisions of the timers and judges shall be final. Any protests must be addressed at the office the day of the show.

​

**In the event the timer fails to operate a rerun will be granted during that same event. Penalties will stand if knocked during timer failure. A "No Time" for a down barrel will be assessed in divisional races. If a timer fails and cannot be replaced, the entire event will be rerun by all contestants on the replacement timing system so that all contestants are timed on the same timer.

​

**In the event a contestant’s equipment breaks, no rerun will be allowed.

​

**Open classes are open to all ages, except for peewee riders.

​

**Adult classes are for competitor’s aged 19-49.

​

**Senior classes are for competitors aged 50 and over.

​

**If in the event there is no senior class offered, anyone 19 and over will be allowed to run in the adult class.

 

**Age limit for youth events is eighteen (18) years of age by January 1st. If an individual begins the year (January 1) as a youth competitor, they will be considered a youth competitor for the remainder of the year, regardless of where their birthday falls during the year.

​

**Pee Wee age limit is ten (10) and under. To be eligible to compete in Pee Wee Barrels the rider cannot compete in any other classes. Age is determined by the age the child is of that particular year by January 1st. Peewees may move up in the youth division at any time during the year, but once they move up they must remain at that level of competition.

 

**Entries will draw for running order/positions for all classes.  Running order will be posted before the start of the class at the office.  Anyone signing up after the running order is posted will be put at the bottom of the list or filled in to and open/scratch spot if the opportunity arises.  The only exception is when an individual has more than one horse and we will do the best we can to space them. 

 

**All entries will be on cash basis for local series. 3 day shows must be pre-paid to maintain your early draw position.

**3D classes will be paid out on (1) second splits

>>1D - 50%

>>2D - 30%

>>3D - 20%

**4D Classes will be paid out on a (.5) second splits

>>1D - 35%

>>2D - 30%

>>3D - 20%

>>4D - 15%

**5D open class will be paid out on (.5) splits

>>1D - 30%

>>2D - 25%

>>3D - 20%

>>4D - 15%

>>5D - 10%

SECTION 6: 3 Call Rule

​

3 Call Rule will be enforced and will be assessed as follows.  Once the arena is clear and ready for the next contestant the announcer will call for the next horse and rider.  If there is a delay your first 30 seconds will start.  After those 30 seconds you will receive your 1st call.  Then your next 30 seconds will begin.  After 30 seconds your 2nd call will be given.  After 30 seconds your 3rd call will be given.  After 30 seconds has passed if you have not broken the timeline you will receive a NO Time.

​

SECTION 7: Broken Pattern/Forward Motion

​

If at any point you break pattern, you will be allowed to complete your pattern but will not be allowed to double circle any barrel or to “train.”  You will also not be allowed to restart pattern.  Once you cross the timeline forward motion must always be kept. If forward motion is not kept once crossing the timeline, it will be considered a broken pattern.

*****Crossing the line of the arena*****

​

For races that are marked with a clear alleyway or holding pen, no circling will be allowed passed the mouth of the arena where the two connect. You may circle in the alleyway or circle in the holding pen. Once the mouth of the arena has been entered, you must maintain forward motion or it will be considered a broken pattern.

​

SECTION 8: Run Order Rule

​

If a contestant runs out of order or on the wrong horse for any reason, they will be automatically disqualified.

​

Section 9: Dress Code

​

Dress Code – All participants are required to wear jeans, boot or western shoes, and an appropriate top with the encouragement of riding helmets.  All other attire is prohibited. This will be the dress code for local shows. Larger shows may require hats and long sleeve shirt. Please check the events to confirm.

​

SECTION 10: Contestant Expectations

​

ICRP owner’s decisions are final. Any unruly behavior, disrespect to staff, public online attacks, or ill treatment of animals at the show will not be tolerated. ICRP reserves the right scratch contestants without a refund if above poor behavior/sportsmanship is displayed.

 

Violators will receive:

(1) one verbal or written warning

(2) a second offense will result in a disqualification for that event that day and you will be asked to leave with no refund of entry fees; if you are a ICRP member, you may have your membership revoked for the current season, at the producer's discretion.

(3) a third offense will results in a ban from future ICRP events

​

SECTION 11: Refunds/Carryovers/Dogs      

    

**NO REFUNDS will be given on scratches after the the pre-draw is closed.

**Carryovers MUST be declared before class starts. No changes once a class/session has started.

**Please keep dogs on leashes, for their safety, and for the safety of all riders. Please BE AWARE that arena's personal rules regarding dogs supersedes Indian Creek's dog policy and ICRP will uphold the arena's rules.

**No ponying in paid ride around sessions, or open ride time between sessions.

SECTION 12: Claiming Payouts

​

**Claiming Payouts

  • You have 60 days to make arrangements/make contact with the producer about winnings.

    • If the show was paid out in cash and you are planning to pick up and there is not a show within 60 days, ICRP will continue to hold the cash for a later date - however, ALL funds must be picked up by 12/31 of the same year, or any unclaimed winnings will be set aside for future added monies.

    • If the show paid out with checks and you have not turned in your W9 after ICRP has attempted to reach out and collect the W9, after 60 days your check becomes VOID and your winnings will be returned to future added monies.

  • You must have W9 on file to pick up any winnings, cash or check.

  • If you have not made efforts to claim your winnings/make arrangements/responded to the producer, your winnings will go back into ICRP toward added monies.

  • If you do not cash your check within 60 days you check will become VOID.

  • If you are not present at the end of the show, cash payments will be held until the next show if not picked up the day of, unless otherwise stated. You may have someone pick up and sign for you to pick up cash or checks.

  • Winnings that are paid back in cash, will be made ready for pick up at the next event if not picked up the same day. If all events are completed for the year and/or series, checks will be mailed out.

  • Producer reserves the right to decide on mailing out checks after an event; since we pay back mostly in cash, expect to make arrangements for pick up or winnings will be available at the next ICRP show.

  • ANY winnings that are mailed out will deduct $1 from the winnings to cover postage.

  • Check under $20 will not be mailed. Pick up only.

  • ALL peewee winnings are paid back in cash. PLEASE pick them up the day of the show, they are always ready shortly after the class concludes.

  • Checks will be VOID after 60 days from the mailing date/pick up.

  • All events that pay out with checks must be accompanied with a current W9. Winnings will not be mailed until ICRP has them on file.

  • Payment options are as follows:

    • Cash – pick up

    • Check - mailed

  • We will NOT pay back with Venmo or Paypal - it is a direct violation of their policies and can result in accounts being banned.

  • Replacement checks - checks will not be replaced that were voided for failure to be cashed. In the event a check is misplaced/lost in the mail and you contact the producer prior to the 60 day mark, we will replace your check for a fee of $20 each that will be taken from the winnings. We are not responsible for checks that are lost by the postal service.

SECTION 13: Expos/No Shows

​

  • EXPOS - 60 second time limit per expo. If you reserve expos, you bought them. Scratches on expos will not be allowed once we are 24 hours from the races start time. Only exception is if you are completely drawing out from a show and cannot make it. You are welcome to sell them privately to others if you no longer need them.

  • NO SHOWS: Complete draw outs (defined as not showing up and competing at the show at all) and declared before your run(s) come with no penalty. However, if you do not draw out and do not attempt to contact the producer before your run to let them know you will not be present, you will be liable for the fees of that show before you are able to compete at any future ICRP events.

​

Section 14: Special Classes

​

  • Jump Rider Jackpot

    • You may only jockey a horse that you do not own and/or ride/enter on a regular basis

    • Your time can carry over into other classes; however any other classes associated with the jump ride MUST be a carryover

    • You may expo the jump horse

    • Jump horses can make multiple runs in the jump class, as long as they have different jockeys

Section 15: Points Accumulation - All Series

​

  • Points will be awarded in each division based on placings, if classes are offered and stated as giving awards:

    • 1D-5D Open

    • 1D-4D Youth or 1D-3D

    • 1D-4D Adult or 1D-3D

    • 1D-4D Senior or 1D-3D

    • Peewee Barrels 1D-3D

    • Poles 1D-3D

    • Beginners Class (no points, but must maintain 50% attendance)

  • Points will be awarded in descending order from 10 points through 1 points to the respective placings, 1 - 10 riders in each division, to members ONLY. Non-members will be pulled out of the points placings. Divisions will be based off of the fastest time of the class, whether it is a member or non-member.

  • You may only place ONCE per division. So if you are running multiple horses, and they both run in the 2D, you will be given the points on the highest placing horse. If you have a horse run in the 2D and 3D, you will get the appropriate points for each horse.

  •  For the End of Season Standings, a member keeps points only from the division in which they have the highest standing in each class. (Example #1: If you place 1st in the 1D and 1st in the 2D open, you will receive the 1D prize because it is the highest prize and placing. Example #2: You place 2nd in the 1D, but 1st in the 2D, you will receive the 2D prize because it is the highest placing and prize.)

  • In the event of a tie in points at any point series finals, all ties will be settled by:

    • (1) Most Shows Attended

    • (2) Most Consistent Division Placing

      • (2a) If contestants have same divisional placing, downed barrels/NT will be assessed, fewest # wins

    • (3) All times in the tied division will be added together, and lowest cumulative time wins

    • (4) If all of the above are even up, flip a coin

​

Section 16: Special Rules - Grit & Glam Series 2023

​

  • Season will NOT GO passed 10/8/2023 - If finals happens to rain out, points will stand as is and results will be determined from data collected up to that date.

  • Member Side Pot: Total amounts are TBA. Should 1 or 2 days of finals rain out - 50% of the money that has not been used in the side pot will be kept back for use in 2024, and 50% of the money will be raffled off in $50 increments at the awards banquet.

  • Banquet

    • Must be in attendance to be eligible for any raffles, should the need arise.

    • You must be in attendance to claim your awards, or arrange for someone to stand in for you to claim them. If you fail to attend or have someone designated for picking up, awards will be forfieted and put back for future awards. No awards will be shipped for the 2023 banquet.

    • You must RSVP to be eligible for the end of year members thank you gifts.

 

Section 17: Disclaimers

​

We (Indian Creek Racing Productions) reserve the right to refuse entry for ANY reason. Behavior by contestants or spectators that is deemed inappropriate will not be tolerated and is grounds for dismissal from event.

​

DISCLOSURE: When entering this event, you agree to the following. Rider agrees to become familiar with and abide by the rules of this event. Rider understands that Indian Creek Racing Productions (producers of this event) along with the staff and associates of ICRP are not responsible for accident, injury, theft or death to themselves or property while attending, competing, camping or spectating at this event. Rider understands that Indian Creek Racing Productions reserves the right to refuse entry for any reason.

WARNING: Under Missouri Law, a domesticated animal professional is not liable for damages suffered by, an injury to or the death of a participant resulting from the inherent risks of domesticated animal activities.. You are assuming inherent risks of participating in this domesticated animal activity.

​

Contestants may be photographed and videotaped at our events. Videos and photos may be posted online by the official event photographer. Videos and photos taken by the official photographer may be used at the discretion of ICRP productions for promotional reasons. Official photographer/videographer has exclusive rights to public sale of photos from our events. Contestants in our database may be contacted via email and/or text messaging to provide you with reminders of upcoming events, sponsor specials or obtain feedback.
